The Way I See It

The great tennis player Arther Ashe once said, "You are never really playing an opponent. You are playing yourself, your own highest standards, and when you reach your limits, that is real joy." Although this is a quote referring to tennis, I believe this can also be applied to life in general. You can strive your whole life wanting something that someone else might have, never being happy. Once you realize you've done all you can, you know that you have reached your goal.

Reflection 2

Today our group was set to meet at nine o clock at star bucks. I got their a little early and I saw Chris sitting at a table. me and him talked for a little while just small talk about the class then Gustavo and Dominique came right around nine o clock. We were all set to begin our discussion but then we realized that Christine was the member of the group with the cup. We unfortunately did not exchange phone numbers, which was a big mistake, but as we were sitting there we began to have some good conversations. We first tried to go down to the Starbucks counter and see if they had any cups similar to the one that you had given us but this was to no avail.

The four of us then talked about where we are from and what are majors were at the university. I thought it was really cool that Gustavo was from Texas and Dominique was from California, my first question was what made you come to Cincinnati? They laughed and both said that U.C is one of the best programs for what they’re majoring in. About 9:30 Christine showed and apologized for being late for personal reasons. We did not have much time since most people had class at ten so we got right to discussing the cup. We read it and through out a few ideas and comments about it but ultimately decided it would be best if we all got the paragraph e- mailed to us and we could individually e-mail it back with our own thoughts.

So after leaving Starbucks I went to the computer lab to look deeper into the paragraph. I wrote my comments and e- mailed it to Gustavo. We plan on meeting this Friday at the same time to do our second part of the project.
